The latest Seasonal Events are now available in GT5 in the form of
new time and drift trial events, featuring the all-wheel drive Subaru
Impreza. There are the no tuning restrictions in this week’s drift
events.

While you may still be coming off of the excitement from the GT6
reveal from only a week ago, GT5 is still being updated with weekly
Seasonal Event challenges and this week is no different.
The latest challenges are five expert level events featuring the vast
assortment of Japanese vehicles built in 1979 or earlier. Cars are
limited to a maximum of 400PP and Comfort/Soft tires or less. The

As part of the 15th Anniversary celebrations and GT6 reveal, GT5 has a new Seasonal Event.
Featuring the Schulze Motorsports GT-R driven by Kazunori Yamauchi at
the Nürburging 24hr race alongside the legendary track itself, the
event is a simple time trial. It awards those who achieve gold standard
with a Nissan GT-R Black Edition Tuned Version (GT Academy) ’12
alongside the usual credit prizes.
Joining this time trial are the regularly scheduled time and drift
trials, this week featuring an eclectic mix of Italian cars and GT500s.

The future of the Gran Turismo series is set to be revealed
Wednesday, May 15th, at a major media event hosted by Sony at
Silverstone Circuit.
A formal presentation will begin at 15:00 GMT,
where Kazunori Yamauchi – GT’s creator – will be making “exciting
announcements” about Polyphony Digital’s latest projects to over 80
international media representatives in attendance.
The event will last throughout the day, with over nine automotive manufacturers (plus Red Bull) participating, five GT Academy champions providing lots of on-track action, and there will be a few more surprises, as well…
